For 41 years, our non-profit
club has been serving computing newcomers,
frequent users and experts alike from the
four-county area of northeast Illinois and
southeast Wisconsin. Founded in 1983 by
Atari computer enthusiasts, our current
focus is on Windows computers and new
technology which includes Android and Apple
IOS tablets and Smartphone's, Smart Home
devices and security We also have members
who use Chromebooks and various
distributions of Linux.
Area of interest include
computer operation, software selection and
use, data storage alternatives, tablet
computing, Smartphone selections and use,
genealogy, digital photography, video
calling and digital security.
We meet on the second Saturday
of each month (except July and December) at
the Grayslake Grayslake Heritage Center, n Grayslake,
Illinois, from 12:00 p.m. to 3:00 p.m. Prior
to the meeting we host a Help Desk, start at 11:30 a.m., staffed by experienced
volunteers who will happily take on computer
challenges of all sorts. All are welcome to
our meetings and Help Desk – members and
visitors alike.
