We are back!


         Finally, after a year and a half LCACE members will
         be back to in-person meetings at the Grayslake Pub-
         lic Library. It’s’ been a while since we have been to-
         gether in person, and I know there where a few that
         didn’t join us on Zoom.


         This will be our first attempt of having a hybrid meeting and those who wish to coni the attending the meet-
         ings via Zoom. Hopefully, there will be no changes in the schedule, but we will keep you informed of any up-
         dates.

         There are will be some COVID restrictions at the library, and we will let you know in advance what to expect.
         So be prepared to mask up.

         We’re sending all of the good health vibes to our president and wishing him a speed recovery, Phil is still in
         rehab and hoping to be going home soon. Like Phil, I am recovering from a second knee replacement, but I
         will be hobbling around at the October meeting.


         Lester will be staffing the Help Desk will and will be available from 11:15 to 12:15. If you have any technical
         problems with your devices let the help desk help you out.


         October is National Cyber Security Month and our presentation with be Bob Gostischa (AVAST Evangelist)
         via Zoom. Bob is an AVAST Security software expert. Bob is one of the hosts of Tech for Seniors and you
         can catch him every Monday at 11:00 CST.

         We also have a go for our Holiday Party and Raffle at State of the Lakes bank on December 11 . This year’s
         raffle prizes will be all cash, and a one-year club membership and be door prizes you can win. Raffle tickets
         will be available for you to buy or sell at the October meeting. Let us not forget all the delicious foods that
         people bring for us to enjoy.

         Videos of previous club meetings and APCUG Workshops have been posted on the LCACE YouTube page.
         Look and please leave some comments, to let us know what you like about them. Feedback is important to
         our video and newsletter editors. It let us know if you approve or their work. They do everything to keep you
         informed of what the club has to offer.
         Looking forward to seeing you in person, but if you join us via Zoom, it is always good to see you.
