L.C.A.C.E NOTES
Hello, all
As discussed at past meetings, the Grayslake Library has reduced their "window" for booking meeting
dates from 180 days in advance to 90 days in advance. I believe the library made this change because
their meeting rooms were booked so far in advance by outside organizations that the library was having
difficulty scheduling their own programs.
Since reducing the scheduling window they are also making "placeholder" reservations of their own such
as "Future Teen Program". These changes have made it more difficult for our scheduling representative,
Liz Barnett, to nail down the second Saturday of each month for our meetings. It is becoming increas-
ingly clear that we will have to be flexible about meeting dates and possibly location.
For planning purposes, here is our current meeting situation:
• March 10th. At Grayslake Public Library.
• April 21st. At State Bank of the Lakes.
• May 19th At Grayslake Public Library.
• June - TBD
• July - July 21st. Our annual picnic, at State Bank of the Lakes
